Abstract

This paper is concerned with the effect of the periodie amputation on the electrophoretic pattern of pulp and submaxillary gland in rat, using polyacrylamide disc gel electrophoresis system.
The result were obtained as follows.
1. The weight of submaxillary gland after the incisor amputation was incrcased about two times than contrnl group.
2. A total of 14 different protein band was detected in rat incisor pulp tissue homogenate.
3. A total of 21 different protein band was detected in rat submaxillary gland homogenate.
4. Difference between amputated and control group in the polyacrylamide gel protein pattern of both tissue homogenate was not evident.
